The Voice of The Mountain

In vast vision
High upon the mountain top
I called to those below
I spoke of a world that none could see
In great vivid detail I painted the form
But lurid eyes could not see beyond the norm
In deep descriptive detail
I invoked the earthbound to climb
In frozen hesitation
They challenged to be offered proof
"We do not understand" they chimed
Then one began to climb
The other shouted warnings
Hurled insults
Cast stones
But still the one they climbed
I gave the way upon the path
In message and in sign
Then I descended to halfway
To become their guide
The weary one I carried
Till they could walk again
Side by side we reach the peak
Eyes saw the unknown land
The one who climbed now knew
The vision is from where you stand
You can not understand
Before you step to where you can
